How it all started.

In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, several Amsterdam-based B-Corps and B Lab Benelux - came together to address a pressing issue: what to do with all the creative talents in their companies when their regular clients were putting projects on hold. Rather than let their creative forces go to waste, the group used their collective expertise to create something new and impactful.

Alexander Koene from BR-ND People took the initiative to invite Misteli, Fronteer, RC and Blyde to come together in the Vondelpark while sitting safely outdoors to get to know each other and discuss how to cooperate and join forces.

After many internal discussions and pitches to the municipality of Amsterdam and other key players, the group settled on an exciting idea: a game focusing on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. The group recognized that these issues were more important than ever, given the challenges of the pandemic, and they believed that a game could be a powerful tool for educating and engaging people.

The group began to work tirelessly on the game, bringing in experts in diversity and gaming to help them develop and refine the concept. They conducted test rounds with various people, seeking feedback and making adjustments along the way. And after years of hard work, the group is now ready to launch their creation: the Let's Play Equal game.

The Let's Play Equal game is an innovative and engaging way to explore justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion issues. The game is designed to be played by people of all ages and backgrounds, and it will be an essential tool for promoting understanding and dialogue on these crucial issues.

One of the key partners in the project has been B Lab Europe, a sustainability certification organization that has provided critical guidance and support on terminology and methodology. The collaboration between the many companies and B Lab Europe has been an essential aspect of the project. It highlights the power of radical collaboration, interdependence and partnership in addressing complex social issues.

The Let's Play Equal game will officially launch during the Amsterdam B Leaders for Good conference on May 11th and 12th, 2023. The group is excited to share its creation with the world, and they believe that it will be an essential step forward in promoting justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. They hope the game will inspire others to engage with these issues and be a powerful tool for promoting positive change in the world.

In conclusion, the story of how six companies came together in the midst of a crisis to create the Let's Play Equal game is a testament to the power of creativity, collaboration, and social responsibility. The game is a powerful tool for promoting understanding and dialogue on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion issues. It represents an important step forward in promoting positive change in the world. With the support of B Lab Europe and other key partners, the group is poised to make a real difference, and they hope that their creation will inspire others to join them in the fight for a more just, equitable, and inclusive world.
